Our charitable donation this year was for the benefit of the Girl Guides Highcliffe & Mudeford District.

Following a cheque presentation made by Annie Reed, Chairperson of the Highcliffe Carnival Committee, the 4th Highcliffe Brownie Leader (otherwise known as Tawney Owl) Janet Sachs said "Thank you very, very much, we are extremely grateful.  We will make very good use of the money and it will be enjoyed for many, many years to come - thank you."

They intend to use the money raised to build strong cabinets to house all their equipment.

To round off HRH The Queen's Diamond Jubilee year, our chosen theme was the "Best of British".

We were entertained by Swing Unlimited Community Big Band, a local female singing duo the Songbirds and the Rock Choir.

Participants in the procession included the Retained Fire Section of the Christchurch Fire Brigade; British Legion Band; Girlguiding Highcliffe and Mudeford; Aldridge Brownlee Solicitors; the Friendly Dog Club; Highcliffe St Marks Primary School; Balmer Lawn Union Jack wrapped cars; the Wessex Majorettes; 1st Milton Cubs; 1st Milton Beavers; Sharks Inline Hockey; The Galleon Public House; Highcliffe Charity Players; Chritax taxis; Highcliffe Sports and Social Club; Zumba Gold; Highcliffe Scouts and of course, Father Christmas courtesy of Burley Wagon Rides.
